Happy World Goth Day!

It's a gray, overcast, slightly chilly Thursday morning here in Hayward, and I'm at work looking goth to the teeth -- fishnets, spikes, bones, boots and all.  Just call me Abby... ;-)

Get your Goth on, and celebrate World Goth Day with me!!

In honor of the day, I give you one of my favorite songs (which is NOT by Voltaire, no matter what it says on YouTube), the classic "If I Only Were a Goth"!

  2. It was a great day indeed, and I'm glad that you got to celebrate it as well. It wasn't cloudy and gloomy here though. It was sunny and hot, but we made the best of it.

    1. I'm glad you also had a great day! Too bad about the weather, but it IS May, after all, so all we can do each year is hope that THIS time it will rain, or at least be overcast! ;-)

  3. I left work!!!! Happy day indeed, I even made a speech. And wore Hellbunny's Toto frock (looks sweet, has hell bunnies on it). Then got very very drunk. Splendid!

I love that Voltaire song, have seen him a few times at Whitby (indeed, he even ran over my feet with his trolley bag in the Spa one Sat afternoon, he is a very attractive man *cough*).

And it was absolutely pittling down here in England. Very appropriate.

    1. Congratulations!!! What a wonderfully perfect dress to wear on the day you ditched your job!! Especially when it was raining! :-)

Yes, indeed, Voltaire is VERY attractive! And I'm jealous because you've seen him in person AND have been to Whitby, not to mention more than once... :-P

    2. He really gets into the the Whitby spirit, taking part in fringe events, judging story competitions, signing things for hours. And he is very funny - I'm suspecting he'll be there this Nov as it's the 20th anniversary and they are looking to have a roll call of festival favourites. Fingers crossed for V and also for the splendid Abney Park. I am very lucky - it's just about on my doorstep, being a 90 minute drive away through beautiful moorland. The Halloween event is also my wedding anniversary, so it's now our annual holiday :)

    3. Oh, now I really AM jealous!!! But also very glad for YOU that you can enjoy it all. :-) Well, perhaps I'll get to Whitby some day... one can always wish! But getting to see/hear Voltaire is actually more likely, as he lives in the U.S., so I'll wish for that, too! :-)
